Solrais is SunRice’s brand of rice in the Solomon Islands. It’s an important market for SunRice so when offered an opportunity to sponsor the World Cup in this soccer-mad country they jumped at it.
The Solomon Islands doesn't produce any local television content, therefore we were tasked to create the first ever television commercial to be made and run on Solomons Island television. With little time and challenging budget we created a simple, engaging film that captured the joy and spirit of the country and people. There was a lot of positive feedback surrounding the campaign as well as great business results to match. Solrais growth during the June/July 2018 campaign period was 34.4% which equates to approximately 1,402 tonnes of rice. This equates to SolRice total business growth of 48% in June and 48% again in July. This brought the YTD growth to approximately 34%. Market share increased to 75% exceeding the campaign objectives and is trending to maintain this growth.
